Being
“Consciousness infuses the entire animal kingdom, whether tiny or huge.
All species are aligned with the cycles of nature, their place, and their purpose.
They move easily in their miraculous bodies, with total awareness.
They are connected with their inner wisdom, and with each other.
Their senses guide them, and they express themselves freely and clearly.
Invite the animal kingdom to teach you the art of being in your body!”
— Miriam’s Consciousness Guides
This is the second message from my Consciousness Guides. As usual, I will expand on their message.
“Consciousness infuses the entire animal kingdom, whether tiny or huge.”
The animal kingdom is diverse, and includes worms, sponges, corals, jellyfish, crustaceans, snails, octopuses, sea urchins, starfish, fish, amphibians, reptiles, spiders, insects, birds, mammals of land and sea, and humans. As beings co-inhabiting this amazing planet, all are bathed in the consciousness that makes up the cosmos, the creative spark of life and source of wisdom that exists everywhere. Nothing needs to be done. The flow is there, and moves into and through all bodies. Humans have been taught to disregard and deny the consciousness within anyone other than humans, yet increasingly, science is finding that the truths of indigenous wisdom are correct. These other non-human beings are aware, alert, and interact with intention. They are alive with consciousness.
“All species are aligned with the cycles of nature, their place, and their purpose.”
With the exception of humans, the animalia live comfortably with the rotations of the moon around the earth, and the earth around the sun. They adapt to their environment, their neighborhood, and their food supply, and they evolve slowly over time as changes appear in their world. They eat organic matter, are often eaten by others, reproduce in their many unique ways, and seem to experience little fear in their natural surroundings even when predators are near. They live simply, in harmony with the seasons and with their community. They seem to know who they are and what to do in life.
“They move easily in their miraculous bodies, with total awareness.”
Movement is part of at least one phase of all of the animals’ lives, and for most it is a constant requirement, essential to life. If they remain still for too long they become easy prey, or are already in the process of dying. Their bodies are lean, strong, and flexible. They need to be fit to gather food, create safe havens, care for young ones, and travel great distances. They play and experience joy through their bodies. They pay attention to their surroundings regardless of activity, and are always alert to new information coming in through their strongest senses.
“They are connected with their inner wisdom, and with each other.”
Animals follow their instincts, their body’s inner guidance system, and respond immediately to the urges of the body wisdom. They do not seem to hesitate, doubt or question those messages. They simply notice, feel, and move. Their connections with each other are strong, within their family groupings, their species groups, and with those who live in their community. They recognize self and other, and exist comfortably with both. Even when predators are near, they seem to know whether to hide, flee, or continue their prior activities in safety, with awareness of the predator.
“Their senses guide them, and they express themselves freely and clearly.”
Trusting the body’s senses is essential to all animals’ survival, and to their ability to thrive. They discern when they can play and have fun, when and where and with whom to reproduce, where the food is tasty and plentiful, when to voice their unique songs and communicate their needs as well as their emotions. Many species that science has studied express different emotions through their songs, calls, chirps, vibrations, and warnings. Every species that vocalizes has their own sound frequency signature so they can easily be heard by their fellow species members in what might otherwise be a potential cacophony of sound waves. Their communications have meaning, even if humans have not yet figured out what they are saying.
“Invite the animal kingdom to teach you the art of being in your body!”
Imagine what it might be like if you were more aligned with nature, your place, and your purpose. What would that feel like, in your body, heart and soul? Do you move easily in your miraculous body, with total awareness? Do you connect with your inner wisdom and follow it? Do you truly connect with your family, your pod, and your non-human community? Do you trust your senses, and respond to their input? How can you express yourself more freely and clearly? Do you have a variety of sounds through which you communicate? Explore expanding your vocal expression beyond the spoken word, making non-verbal sounds, using the breath in humming, toning, singing, calling, and more. Remind yourself frequently that you are an animal, and your human body knows exactly what it needs. It can teach you to know when you are truly safe, when you need to move, what is good nourishment for you, how to love and be loved, and how to thrive, in your body and in your life!
